Palm Canyon Theatre Rolls Out the Glitter Carpet for “Priscilla, Queen of the Desert” This Pride Season
PALM SPRINGS, Calif. — Get ready for a glitter-filled ride through the outback as Priscilla, Queen of the Desert cruises back onto the Palm Canyon Theatre stage from October 24 through November 16, 2025. The beloved musical bursts to life during Pride season, promising an unforgettable celebration of love, laughter, and fabulousness.
Audiences will join Tick, Felicia, and Bernadette as they journey across the Australian desert aboard their gleaming bus, Priscilla, bound for a drag show in Alice Springs. Along the way, this dazzling trio meets a cast of quirky characters and belts out crowd-pleasing favorites like “I Will Survive,” “It’s Raining Men,” “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” “I Say a Little Prayer,” and “MacArthur Park.”
The star-studded cast includes Tegr Powell as Tick, Noah Wahlberg as Felicia, and Ron Coronado reprising his celebrated role as Bernadette. Newcomer Ari Rand appears as Benji, Tick’s young son, with Luke Rainey as Bob and Adam Heiter as Miss Understanding. The talented ensemble, costumed in sequins and sass, is directed by Derik Shopinski, with musical direction by Steven Smith and choreography by Nathan Wilson. JW Layne lights up the stage with vibrant design, complemented by Nick Edwards’ projections and Sanai Wright’s dance leadership.
For an extra sparkle of Pride magic, audiences can attend the Exclusive VIP Experience on Friday, November 7. The evening includes a pre-show reception with complimentary bites and drinks, sweet treats during intermission, and a post-show meet-and-greet with the cast and creative team. The event is part of the official Palm Springs Pride celebration, sponsored by KGAY 106.5.
Performances are scheduled for Thursdays at 7 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 p.m., and Sundays at 2 p.m. Tickets, including fees, are $46 for adults and $20 for students, with group discounts available.
