PALM SPRINGS, CA – Due to weather concerns for tomorrow, January 5th, 2023, Walk of the Stars Palm Springs has announced the star unveiling for Craig Prater will take place at 2:00 p.m. at the Downtown Palm Springs Park with the remaining program resuming at Eight4Nine Restaurant & Lounge.
WHAT: 454th Star on Walk of the Stars
WHO: Craig Prater, President/Executive Director of P.S. International Film Festival
WHEN: Thursday, January 5th
2:00 p.m. – Star Unveiling: Downtown Palm Springs Park
2:30 p.m. – Program: Speakers, Acceptance of Star, Proclamation, and Special Tribute Film
WHERE: Due to rain, a shortened unveiling ceremony will take place at the Downtown Palm Springs Park located at Museum Way and Belardo Dr. The remaining program will resume immediately following at Eight4Nine Restaurant & Lounge located at 849 N Palm Canyon Dr.
Craig Prater was one of the early forces to be brought in to work with then-Palm Springs Mayor Sonny Bono and helped put the Palm Springs International Film Festival on the entertainment radar.
Prater, who was festival director from 1993-2000, was instrumental in helping the Film Festival to be established as an international film industry bellwether for the Oscars©.
