DLNews Entertainment:
Sometimes harsh words help.
It's no secret that Tom Cruise (60) is demanding. He doesn't let a stunt double jump out of a plane. Instead, the "Mission Impossible" star prefers to unpack his own parachute or scale the Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest tower in Dubai.

The suit weighed heavily: Emily Blunt sustained injuries, and Tom Cruise waved it off.
But not all acting colleagues are as tough as the 60-year-old. For example, Emily Blunt (39). Tears fell on the set of the blockbuster "Edge Of Tomorrow." And THAT colleague Tom apparently couldn't handle it at all. The 39-year-old revealed this in the "Smartless” podcast.
The reason for the emotional outburst on set: is the heavy costume. "We had to wear these giant suits, which I think would have been great if it was CGI. But we actually had to put them on,” reveals Emily.
Fun Fact: CGI clothing is worn by actors in films that require visual effects. They are skintight suits with many tiny reference points. These points reflect infrared light, which a special camera system emits and receives. Thus, even the smallest Hollywood stars become huge fantasy figures on the screen.

Unfortunately, Emily got dressed up in the "real costume" on set: "There was nothing cozy about those suits. It must have been 85 pounds; it was so heavy. I cried the first time I put it on." And with good reason: the costume caused injuries to her collarbones and ribs.
A male stunt double had to take over as the suit was too heavy for a female. phew
And colleague Tom Cruise? He didn't quite know how to deal with the situation and the tears. "He just stared at me and then said: 'I know, I know. I said, 'Tom, I'm not sure how I'm going to get the shoot.'"

The 60-year-old then preferred to go the hard way and said succinctly: "Come on, stop being such a wimp, okay?" Emily then bravely laughed away the situation and made it through the scene.
And the tears were worth it. The film grossed a whopping US$370 million, more than double the production cost.
Incidentally, despite wild speculation, there will not be a second part of "Edge Of Tomorrow." The reason for this: is a legal dispute between the production companies Warner Bros and Village Roadshow.
TOM CRUISE CALLED EMILY BLUNT A "WIMP."
